Progress Assessments

Nervous system scan

Periodically throughout your journey back to health and wellness, we'll perform Progress Assessments to measure the changes your spine and nerve system have made. We will use our computerized technology to quickly and accurately chart the changes made since your previous examination. Rarely and only under special circumstances are repeat x-rays needed. This is a time for you to share the changes you've noticed in your health and the different lifestyle choices you have been making to help you get better results.

On the visit following your Progress Assessment, Dr. Resco will go over the results with you and make further recommendations for your care. With the momentum established from the intensive schedule during the early part of your care, we can often reduce your visit frequency without sacrificing continued progress toward your health goals.

The Danger

About this time, many people start to feel significantly better. They're often tempted to discontinue their care. And of course, how long you benefit from chiropractic care is always up to you. Please note that you are more likely to experience a symptomatic relapse if you discontinue care before we have stabilized you spine and nerve system. This is part of the retraining process to create a stronger, more adaptable you! This strengthening occurs in the second stage of care, after symptoms disappear. Just like exercise, the more you do it, the stronger you get!

Dr. Royce Asks some important questions of interest to Belleville residents - Chiropractor Belleville Dr. Royce Asks...

How could chiropractic help a stomach problem?
Chiropractic works by locating and reducing areas of the spine compromising nerve communications between your brain and your body. If nerves to or from your stomach are irritated, your stomach won't work right. Chiropractors find the source of the interference, reduce it and allow your body to work as designed.
Are aches and pains good or bad?
While aches or pains may be unpleasant, they're merely warning signs. As a Belleville chiropractor, I see this all the time. The pain is not the problem! It just means a limitation has been reached and something needs to change. That's when we get to work correcting the underlying cause.
